Since 2015 we've packed close to 10 million meals for children and families around the world and around the corner all with the help of thousands of volunteers!

We Dream Big and Go After It.

How we started

As a local Realtor working along side my parents we were looking to find a meaningful way in which we could give back to our community. Having grown up volunteering it was important to find something that families could all do together. After a lot of research hunger hit home to all of us. We wanted to make sure that no child would go to bed hungry. In 2015 we started Kids Against Hunger Philadelphia with a mission to feed starving children around the world and around the corner all by selling real estate. A portion of every commission of ours goes to KAH to feed local families.

We grew

What started out from the basement of my home has grown into a wonderful organization that I am so very proud of! We now have a warehouse with over 4,000 square feet and have packed close to 10 million meals all with the help of thousands of volunteers, many of whom have become dear friends! I am so proud of all that we have been able to accomplish. So many families have food on their tables because of us. I can’t wait to see how many more families we can feed with your help!

Our backpack program

For the past two years we partnered with Philabundance to provide all the of the meals for their backpack program. We packed meals 7 days week all with the help of thousands of volunteers. Each backpack was filled with 4 different meals (24 servings) which were given to local schools to ensure that each child would have adequate food for the weekend. Our backpack program provided over 6 million meals all of which stayed local.

Where we are today

I am still selling real estate full time (this helps to fund all of our meals) as that continues to be one of my passions. I love helping people! My amazing husband Bernie runs our warehouse and the majority of our packing shifts along with a handful of our volunteers who have taken on a leadership role within the organization. I continue to travel to sponsored packing events throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Virginia. If you’d like to sponsor or host an event reach out to me anytime!

What's next

This year we are putting our focus back on filling the shelves of our local food banks. We have numerous food banks that continue to reach out to us asking for our food. Between work, homeschooling, and our backpack program we were not able to provide as many meals as we had been to our local food banks. With the pandemic more and more people are depending on their local food bank for food so we want to help keep the shelves full so that no family gets turned down. We are working on starting another backpack program which we hope to launch in 2022.
